Provisions Of The New Constitution


The New Constitution includes many of the suggestions made in the last 200+ years to improve our government.  Among these ideas are:

  • Term limits on elected officials 
  • Balanced budget requirement
  •  Binding referendums of The People on some major issues
  • Compensation of elected officials determined by vote of The People
  • Line item vetoes by the President
  • Laws applying equally to Citizens and elected officials
  • New tax system
  • Sunset provision in all Laws
  • Eliminating the Electoral College

The New Constitution is divided into Provisions.  Each Provision addresses a specific subject:

Provision 1 – Congress
            Defines the organization, responsibilities and authority of Congress
Provision 2 – President And Vice President
            Defines the organization, responsibilities and authority of the Executive Branch
Provision 3 – Supreme Court
            Defines the organization, responsibilities and authority of the Supreme Court
Provision 4 – States And Territories
            Guarantees and directions on laws in and among States and Territories
Provision 5 – National Emergencies
            How to declare a National Emergency
Provision 6 – Amending This New Constitution
            Process for amending the New Constitution
Provision 7 – Law Of The Land
            Declaration of authority of the New Constitution
Provision 8 – Ratification And Effect Of This New Constitution
            Method of placing this New Constitution in effect
